Raja Atif Afzal is a highly experienced criminal defence solicitor advocate and Director at Ashmans Solicitors, widely recognised for his expertise in serious, complex, and high-profile criminal litigation. His practice spans homicide, serious fraud, organised crime, financial crime, confiscation proceedings, and appellate work, and he is regarded as a strategic and effective defence lawyer operating at the highest level. 

Called to the Bar by The Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn in 2008, Mr Afzal began his career with a strong advocacy foundation before cross-qualifying as a solicitor. He later obtained Duty Solicitor status and Higher Rights of Audience in criminal proceedings, enabling him to represent clients at every stage of the criminal justice process, from police station interviews through to complex Crown Court trials and appellate proceedings.
